The work done by many charity people is making a difference to society as a whole and offers great enjoyment and satisfaction, but sometimes it's nice to get recognition for your achievemnets and to be appreciated by the people around you.

Ingrid Zacharias has published a post on her blog, Expressions Of Me: a blog of one woman's experience in Community Development, outlining some strategies you can implement to help charity workers cope when they're feeling overworked or unappreciated.

One of these coping strategies is to list your successes – Writing down the things that you have accomplished can be very empowering. Often, we don’t acknowledge our own successes and that can be a slippery slide to burn out.
